GLEISTEIN RollerTwin - 6mm / Breaking load 700daN - blue/black

GLEISTEIN RollerTwin is a specialised performance rope for endless furlers, headsail furlers, and other roller systems with controlled adjustment. The line is designed for applications where low elongation, direct power transmission, and smooth running over drums and guides are required. With its core dependent twin construction, RollerTwin is functionally dedicated to roller systems and is not designed as a universal all-round rope.

The Dyneema SK78 core provides high linear strength and very low stretch. The Technora/Polyester cover supports controlled handling, stable guidance, and a durable surface under repeated deflection. Elongation at 10 percent of break load is 0.4 percent. For use as an endless furler line or furling line, this is relevant because loads are transferred more directly and reactions at the drum, turning points, and under hand load remain more precise.

A key design advantage of RollerTwin is its construction for endless splices without disruptive thickening. On lines that run continuously in a loop over drums and guides, the splice transition directly affects running behaviour. RollerTwin is designed to keep this area technically clean. This supports even winding, defined handling, and smooth running in endless operation.

RollerTwin is available in 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm. All diameters are available by the meter. In addition, custom made options are available as cut length or endless splice. This allows the line to be matched to the existing system, the drum geometry, and the required configuration without changing the product’s technical characteristics.

As diameter increases, both weight and breaking load rise significantly. Selection should therefore be based mainly on the installed hardware, the required grip characteristics, and the expected load level. The material and construction logic remain consistent across the entire product family. RollerTwin is therefore a technically defined solution for roller systems where low stretch, durable construction, and endless capability are the main priorities.
