Cruising Main Halyard

A main halyard must have minimal stretch, as this is essential for precise trimming of your mainsail. As the wind increases, the mainsail must remain flat to ensure optimal performance and stability. A main halyard with high stretch would allow the sail to yield to stronger winds, compromising control and performance. For recreational sailors, we recommend using halyards with a polyester cover, such as the LIROS Dynamic Color or the even higher-quality LIROS Regatta 2000.

Length recommendation for a main halyard: Mast length x 2.5
