Product information "Seldén PBB50 Double Sheave Plain Bearing Block with Swivel / 50mm Sheave"

Seldén PBB Double Sheave Plain Bearing Block

The Seldén PBB plain bearing blocks are specifically designed for applications with very high and static loads. This version is double sheave and is perfect for complex reeving in halyard, mainsheet, or boom vang systems where high loads need to be reliably handled.

Technical Details

  • Sheave material: Acetal – durable and low friction
  • Axles: High-strength, stainless steel for maximum strength and corrosion resistance
  • Housing: Robust composite material for low weight and high stability
  • Swivel: Can be locked in longitudinal or transverse position for maximum flexibility in mounting and use
  • Block type: Double sheave – ideal for systems with multiple line leads or purchase systems

Special Features

  • Plain bearing technology: Optimised for very high and static loads. The higher the load, the better the block performs compared to ball bearing blocks.
  • Long service life: The large contact surface in the plain bearing distributes the load, reducing wear and increasing durability.
  • Versatile application: Ideal for backstays, checkstays, mainsheet systems, boom vangs, and complex halyard systems requiring maximum load capacity.
