Seldén PBB50 Plain Bearing Fiddle Block with Swivel / 50mm Sheave

Seldén PBB Plain Bearing Block, Violin Block

The Seldén PBB plain bearing blocks are specifically designed for applications with very high and static loads. This version is constructed as a violin block, making it perfect for applications requiring different sheave diameters within one block to minimise friction in the system and ensure optimal line guidance.

Technical Details

• Sheave material: Acetal – durable and low friction
• Axles: High-strength, stainless steel for maximum strength and corrosion resistance
• Housing: Robust composite material for low weight and high stability
• Swivel: Can be locked in longitudinal or transverse position for maximum flexibility in mounting and use
• Block type: Violin block – ideal for purchase systems with different sheave diameters for optimal line guidance

Special Features

• Plain bearing technology: Optimised for very high and static loads. The higher the load, the better the block performs compared to ball bearing blocks.
• Long service life: The large contact surface in the plain bearing distributes the load, reducing wear and increasing durability.
• Versatile application: Ideal for mainsheet systems, boom vangs, traveller systems, and complex trimming systems requiring different reeving ratios.

Note: Blocks are essential components on any sailing yacht. Check them regularly to ensure safety and performance under all conditions.
