Product information "GLEISTEIN RunnerTwin 99 – 6 mm – Breaking load 1680 daN – black"
The GLEISTEIN RunnerTwin99 is a Dyneema sheet for high-load applications in the running rigging of performance yachts and racing boats. Its construction combines a Dyneema SK99 core with an abrasion-resistant and heat-resistant cover made of Technora and polyester. The result is a rope with very high breaking load, minimal elongation, and controlled handling under load. RunnerTwin99 is typically used as a mainsheet, genoa sheet, spinnaker sheet, or halyard. Especially during racing manoeuvres with rapid load changes, the combination of high flexibility and low elongation plays a decisive role. The Dyneema SK99 core provides exceptionally high strength while maintaining low weight. This fibre structure reduces elongation to a minimum and enables direct power transfer between sail and trim. The Technora/polyester cover protects the core against abrasion and heat. High friction temperatures occur in particular when the rope runs quickly over winches or is used in clutches. RunnerTwin99 is designed to be strippable. This allows the cover to be removed in specific areas to reduce weight or minimise friction. In the shop, the line is available by the meter and can be supplied with various professional end terminations. These include whipping, eye splice, pilot eye, and individually stripped versions.
