The Gleistein TaperTwin is a performance-oriented Dyneema® sheet and halyard designed for racing yachts up to 40 feet. Engineered for spinnaker halyards and sheets, it combines minimal elongation with high strength and weight reduction through tapering of the free length.
The twin-braid construction features a Dyneema® SK78 load-bearing core and a durable Polyester/Cordura cover. The core ensures structural stability with low working elongation. The cover protects high-load sections in clutches and on winches, delivering controlled grip and abrasion resistance.
With 0.6% elongation at 10% of break load, TaperTwin supports stable sail shape and precise trim. It is available by the meter or custom made with whipping, eye splice, tapered eye splice, or tapered eye splice with integrated friction ring.
