Stainless Steel Hollow Fid – Splicing Tool for Rope up to 12 mm

This 180 mm hollow fid is a traditional rope splicing tool for twisted rope and square-braided rope up to 12 mm in diameter. Its tapered, channel-shaped tip separates the rope strands. The channel helps guide a strand through the opened rope during splicing.

The hollow splicing fid opens the rope at the point where a strand needs to pass through, for example when making an eye splice. This compact 180 mm version is intended for rope up to 12 mm and is suitable for ropework on board or in the workshop.
